RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The November elections for school boards around Bergen County have been generating some heat, in part because of the national "culture wars" going on at board meetings across the country.

Ridgewood is no different. The League of Women Voters hosted a local school board debate this week, which you can watch on video.

Among other issues, the candidates address the idea of inclusion and mental health at 1:00 hours. Among the responses, Dr. Laura McKenna said the district had a tradition of excellence, but there had to be more inclusion of students with autism and other students from marginalized or neurodiverse groups.
