Garfield High School Reportedly Put On Lockdown Friday
Dismissal of students was delayed, but no credible threat was reportedly found.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Garfield High School was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon, but no threat existed at the school, NorthJersey.com reported.
Student dismissal was delayed as authorities searched the school.
Garfield police and a Bergen County regional SWAT team, as a routine measure, also responded to the school, said William Schievella, spokesman for the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.

The Garfield Office of Emergency Management reported the activity on Twitter at about 3:30 p.m. There was no threat to the school, according to the OEM.
