Pro Arte to Present 'Remembrance' Concert in Ridgewood Nov. 16
In honor of these days of remembrance, the concert will feature works of great beauty and reflection.

Pro Arte Chorale’s first concert of the 2014-2015 season, “Remembrance,” will be presented on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood beginning at 3 p.m.
November is a month of remembrance as we observe All Saints Day and Veteran’s Day, also known as Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom, for those who served and gave their lives in two World Wars and other conflicts. In honor of these days of remembrance, this concert features works of great beauty and reflection: Cantique de Jean Racine, and Requiem by Gabriel Fauré; two works by Victoria, one of the best-regarded composers of sacred music in the late Renaissance, and I am the resurrection and the life by Morley, considered to be one of the most famous composers of secular music
Steven Fox, the Musical Director of The Pro Arte Chorale, is also the artistic director of Clarion Music Society in New York, and the music director for Musica Antiqua St. Petersburg in Russia.
