Fair Lawn NJ; The first week of oil painting classes offered by the Fair Lawn Art Association concluded successfully. Classes were taught by professional artist, David Buckbinder. Students from as far as Monroe, NY and ranging in age from 11 to 70 attended the classes. Said student Josephine, “I’m so honored to have the opportunity to paint with David. He deserves recognition for his art work as well as his ability to mentor art students of all levels.”
The classes are held at the Rec Center located at 10-10 20th St, Fair Lawn, on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 8:30, and on Saturdays from 2 to 4 pm, and are ongoing. Students of all ages can join at any time and pay when they attend. Classes focus on landscape, still life, seascape, and portrait painting in oils, and are customized to each student’s level of ability.
Buckbinder says, “a student can expect to explore his or her own artistic voice through the principles of light and color and receive individualized instruction.” A class supply list will be provided to each registered student. The cost of a class is $18.00 and students can begin any Thursday or Saturday. To register for a class, call or email the artist:
