Ridgewood 9/11 Memorial Commemorates 20th Anniversary
Ridgewood will host a 9/11 remembrance service on the 20th anniversary. Twelve village residents died in the attacks.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Like many communities in North Jersey, Ridgewood didn't come away from Sept. 11, 2001, without suffering immense loss.
During the terrorist attacks on that day 20 years ago, 12 village residents were killed. On Saturday, to commemorate the anniversary of those attacks, Ridgewood will host a remembrance service.
Scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m., the service will be held in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square.

"Join us in remembering and honoring all those tragically lost on 9/11," village officials said.
Those 12 residents who died are Richard Blood, Michael Carroll, Daniel McGinley, James Munhall, Charlie Murphy, Steven Paterson, Michael San Phillip, Bruce Simmons, Steven Strobert, Gina Sztejnberg, Jon Vandevander and Christopher Wodenshek.
