Ridgewood Dad Who Spent Time At Ground Zero Dies At 48, Fundraiser Starts

A fundraiser has started for a Ridgewood father of two who died this week at 48.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Ridgewood father of two passed away this week, and friends are raising funds for the family.

James A. Brennan was hospitalized on Sept. 29 after a heart attack, says a fundraiser for the family.

"James is a retired NYC sanitation worker who proudly served his city for 20 years, including working at Ground Zero following the September 11th attacks," the fundraiser says. "But above all, James is a devoted husband, an incredible father, and a cherished friend to so many. If you have ever met James, you know he has a special gift."
