Ridgewood Doc Receives National Award For 2nd Consecutive Year
Dr. Richard Norden was named the National Doctor's Choice Award in Ophthalmology, an award of his peers.
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A Ridgewood doctor has received a prestigious national award for the second consecutive year.
Dr. Richard A. Norden, the founder of Norden Laser Eye Associates, has been awarded the 2016 National Doctor's Choice Award in Ophthalmology.
Norden has been performing LASIK eye surgery for 20 years and is one of the leading specialists in the country on the procedure.

“I am humbled to win this award,” Norden said in a statement. “To be honored by your peers two years in a row is such a tremendous accomplishment. I am grateful that my colleagues chose to select me as their choice to send themselves, their families, and their patients to.”
Norden has performed the LASIK procedure on more than 30,000 patients throughout his career. He was the first North Jersey doctor to perform the procedure and trained hundreds of doctors on how to perform the procedure.
