Ridgewood Girl Collecting Used Lacrosse Equipment For Kids

Kate Maxwell is a volunteer lacrosse coach in Harlem, New York and says many of the girls do not have enough lacrosse equipment.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A village lacrosse player and volunteer coach is collecting lacrosse equipment to give to underprivileged players.

Kate Maxwell is a volunteer lacrosse coach in Harlem, New York.

"I work with the girls and I love seeing how playing lacrosse makes them so happy. One problem that the girls have is having enough enough-if any- equipment to play with," Maxwell said. "Many of the girls use old, broken lacrosse sticks, and others don’t have any at all."
