Ridgewood High School Alumna Wins Tony Award for Lighting and Design

Ridgewood High School Class of 1998 graduate and Ridgewood New Players alumna Jen Schriever won the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for her work on “The Lost Boys”, sharing the award with director and co-designer Michael Arden.

This marks Shriever’s first Tony Award after being nominated previously for her lighting design work on “A Strange Loop” and “Death of a Salesman”.

Schriever’s achievement is a source of pride for the Ridgewood community, highlighting the success of Ridgewood High School and Ridgewood New Players alumni on Broadway.

The Tony Awards, presented annually by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, recognize excellence in Broadway theater. Considered the highest honor in American theater, the awards celebrate outstanding achievement in acting, directing, design, choreography, and other theatrical disciplines.
