Ridgewood High To Participate In #BeTheLight Campaign
In what is part of a national trend, Ridgewood High joins more than 35 schools in Bergen County honoring 2020 seniors by illuminating fields

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The stadium lights at Ridgewood High School will illuminate the field at 8:20 p.m. on Friday, May 1 in honor of the school's high school seniors, according to a report from northjersey.com.
According to the report, more than 35 high schools in Bergen County will turn on the stadium lights and scoreboards for 20 minutes and 20 seconds to as part of the national #BeTheLight campaign.
With spring high school sports seasons cancelled because of COVID-19, may seniors will likely not be able to take the field for their final athletic season. This, according to the report, is a way of acknowledging these potentially lost seasons, and honoring the athletes who would miss out on their last high school season.
