Ridgewood Hosting 'Back To School' COVID Vaccination Event
Valley Hospital and Ridgewood's health and parks and recreation departments have teamed up for the event, scheduled for Aug. 19.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Valley Hospital and the Ridgewood health and parks and recreation departments will host a COVID-19 vaccination event in an effort to vaccination village students before they return to school.
Billed as the "You Call The Shots", the event will be hosted at the Graydon Pool parking lot and will feature activities, prizes and free Kona Ice in addition to COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.
Though the event is open to all ages, Ridgewood officials said the goal is to "encourage those age 12 to 18 to get vaccinated."

This event comes as others across the county and state are hosting similar drives and initiatives, hoping that students get vaccinated before the start of the new semester.
Holy Name Medical Center, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Health have partnered for a vaccine drive this week, hosting vaccination appointments on Monday across seven sites in North Jersey.
