Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn Not Seeking Re-Election This Year
Aronsohn has been mayor since 2012. He was first elected to the council in 2008.

Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn will not run for re-election to the Village Council this year.
“I have loved the opportunity to serve the Ridgewood community,” Aronsohn said.
Aronsohn was first elected to the Council in 2008 and was selected to be mayor in 2012 and 2014.

Ridgewood elections are nonpartisan — candidates do not run as Democrats or Republicans. Candidates are elected and the five council representatives vote on a mayor and deputy mayor to serve two-year terms.
The council election will be Tuesday, May 10. The deadline for candidates to declare they are running is March 7. Prospective candidates must collect 164 signatures of registered voters in order to be included on the ballot. The Council will vote on the new mayor and deputy mayor at its reorganization meeting July 1.
