Ridgewood Pitcher Signs With Rutgers Univeristy

Parker Scott had a 7-1 record with a 1.31 earned run average and 60 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched for the Maroons last season.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A village pitcher signed to play baseball for Rutgers University Thursday.

Parker Scott had a 7-1 record with a 1.31 earned run average and 60 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched for the Maroons last season.

He played eight seasons with Ridgewood travel baseball team, three with the Northern Valley Hurricanes and one with the Time to Sign Sports club team.

Successful off the field too, he was named to the honor roll his freshman and sophomore years and to the high honor roll his junior and senior years.

Scott intends to major in mechanical and aerospace engineering as a Scarlet Knight.
