Ridgewood Planning Board Says 'Okay' To Multi-Family Housing In Central Business District
Board will send a letter to the council stating that the proposed changes are consistent with the Village's Master Plan.

The Ridgewood Planning Board signed off on proposed changes to the Village Master Plan allowing multi-family housing to be built in the Central Business District.
The Village Council introduced five ordinances last week that would rezone parts of the district. There was discussion before the 3-2 vote was taken about representatives needing more time to review the legislation, but the five proposed ordinances were passed.
Councilwoman Susan Knudsen asked the council to table the legislation because they received the 40 pages of documents at the beginning of the council’s work session last week.

Mayor Paul Aronsohn, a member of the Planning Board, said not one resident who attended the board’s meeting Tuesday spoke about the potential changes.
The ordinances will be placed on the village website for the public to review. The council will wait an extra month to vote on the legislation to encourage more dialogue and feedback from residents.
