College Softball Coach From N.J. Facing 94 Counts Of Sexual Abuse, Harassment

Kurt G. Ludwigsen, 43, of Ridgewood, is accused of kissing female players' breasts and butts while he coached at Nyack College in New York.

A former Nyack College softball coach was arraigned in Nyack, New York court Monday on 94 counts of sexual abuse and harassment and is accused of forcibly touching his players’ private areas.

Kurt G. Ludwigsen, 43, of Ridgewood, was fired from his job in March and charged Thursday after 13 former female players alleged Ludwigsen engaged in inappropriate behavior with them between last October and March.

Authorities allege that Ludwigsen kissed and touched several players’ breasts and buttocks.

Ludwigsen, a married father of two children, was charged with one count of sexual abuse, 44 counts of forcible touching of another’s’ sexual/intimate parts, and 49 counts of harassment.

Authorities interviewed 20 of Ludwigsen’s former players.

Ludwigensen’s next hearing is May 11.
