Ridgewood Will Host Vaccine Clinic Wednesday: What To Know

Vaccines at the Wednesday clinic will only be available for residents and people who work in the village in Category 1A, officials said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A "closed pod" vaccine clinic is scheduled for Wednesday in Ridgewood, village officials announced.

According to a Facebook post, there are still some slots available, but vaccines at the clinic will only be offered to residents and others who work in Ridgewood if they meet the criteria for Category 1A of the state's vaccine rollout plan.

(If you meet that criteria, email dectrulo@ridgewoodnj.net for more information.)

Across the state, vaccination sites are largely still only offering doses to Category 1A workers, but some sites have expanded to include sworn law enforcement, fire professionals, and other first responders who fit the criteria for Phase 1B.

Currently, the number of COVID-19 vaccination sites sits at 120 across the state, but Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli, speaking to NJ Spotlight News, said on Saturday that the state plans to increase the number of vaccination sites to 300.
