Ridgewood Woman's Play Is On Stage At Kean University

Nicole Pandolfo's "Brick City" is about a combative high school senior with a disability and the star player of the basketball team.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Village resident Nicole Pandolfo's play "Brick City" is coming to the stage.

The play is about Jessie, a combative high school senior with a disability, and Darnell, the star player of the high school basketball team, find themselves together in an extended study hall during the most important marking period of their lives. Jessie has a potential career as an artist and Darnell could throw away a lucrative college scholarship.

Pandolfo earned a master's degree in fine arts from Hunter College and is a member of the Playwright/Director Unit of The Actors Studio.

The play will be on stage Sept. 6 to 23 at Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center in Union. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Pandolfo will speak after the Sept. 9 performances of the play.
