Ridgewood's Carleen Jeffers Top N.J. Finisher For 3,000-Meter Run At Penn Relays

Carleen Jeffers from Ridgewood was the top New Jersey finisher in the 3,000-meter run at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, NJ.com reported.

Jeffers, who placed seventh, finished the race in 9:52.73. That time broke a nearly 20-year school record and was just shy of the Bergen County record of 9:50.5.

Jeffers won the two-mile run at the Eastern States Championship last month.
