Ridgewood's Harding Pharmacy and Liquor Closes
The store owner says high rent, settling a lawsuit for millions and reduced reimbursements from insurance companies played a factor.

Ridgewood’s Harding Pharmacy and Liquor closed its doors Sunday after seven decades of serving the community.
Harding owners Myron and Cookie Lesh of Clifton decided to close the store they bought 32 years ago after factoring the store’s high rent and settling a lawsuit for millions in 2011 after a 17-year-old Saddle river teen overdosed on drugs that had been stolen by a former Harding employee, NorthJersey.com reported.
Myron, who also blames the closing on ”reduced reimbursements” from insurance companies, will still work as a pharmacist in a different town, according to NorthJersey.com.
