Ridgewood's Parlance Chamber Hosts Concert Nov. 2
Isabel Leonard, the Met's young mezzo-soprano, will perform with Sharon Ibsin, a three-time Grammy Award winning guitarist.
Parlance Chamber Concerts will present Rising Stars from the Musical World in Concert on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. at West Side Presbyterian Church, located at 6 S. Monroe Street in Ridgewood.
Isabel Leonard, the Met’s young mezzo-soprano and the winner of the prestigious 2013 Richard Tucker Award, will perform with Sharon Ibsin, a three-time Grammy Award winning guitarist.
Leonard will collaborate with Isbin in a program of popular Spanish duos and solos, including Manuel de Falla “Siete canciónes populares españolas,” selections from Xavier Montsalvage’s “Cinco canciónes negras” and a vocal adaptation of Joaquín Rodrigo’s “Concerto de Aranjuez,” according to NJ.com.

Leonard is the recipient of the 2013 Richard Tucker Award. Isbin has also been “hailed as one of the preeminent classical guitarists of our time.”
Tickets are $40 for adults, $30 for seniors, $20 for young adults and $10 for students.
