Roy D. Finn, Former Glen Rock Police Officer, Dies At 57
He was an 18-year veteran of the department and earned the rank of sergeant.

GLEN ROCK, NJ - Roy D. Finn, 57, died suddenly on Sunday. Born in Ridgewood, he resided most of his life in Glen Rock. Roy earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bergen Community College in Paramus. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing but especially time spent with his daughters.
Prior to retiring, he served 18 years with the Glen Rock Police Department where he attained the rank of sergeant.

He is survived by his daughters, Alaina and Colette, mother, jean, sisters Gail Finn-Cavell, and her husband Joe, and Karen Finn Boehme, and her husband Glen, and niece, Kelly.
He was predeceased by his father, Chief Neil Finn.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn. A funeral service is planned for Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
