Teacher Assaulted Child At Day Care Center: Bergen County Prosecutor
A day care worker in Bergen County caused "significant bodily injury" to a child, prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A teacher at a Palisades Park day care center was arrested Monday for assaulting a child at the center, prosecutors said Thursday.
Seunghee Nam, 44, of Englewood was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that on Sunday, the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged assault of a minor that had occurred at a daycare center on March 12.

Investigators determined that Nam had assaulted the child, causing the victim to "sustain significant bodily injury," prosecutors said.
Nam was taken to the Bergen County Jail and made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.

She was released to await further court action, prosecutors said.
