Teen Girl Struck, Killed By Car In Bergen County: Prosecutor

A girl was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Ridgefield on Sunday night, prosecutors said.

RIDGEFIELD, NJ — A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Ridgefield on Sunday night, prosecutors said.

The teen pedestrian was hit at the intersection of Shaler Boulevard and Edgewater Avenue at approximately 7:37 p.m., the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said. The girl was pronounced dead at Hacksensack University Medial Center.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit-Fatal Accident Investigation Task Force and the Ridgefield Police Department are investigating, prosecutors said. However, they are not yet releasing information about the vehicle or other details.
