BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Bergen County through 8 p.m. on Wednesday due to the heat — but the temperatures are expected to drop throughout that day.

In fact, temperatures are expected to plummet from the 96 degrees reached on Tuesday to the high 50s on Wednesday, said the National Weather Service.

The NWS says that for the area, showers are likely between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., with a thunderstorm possible. Winds may gust as high as 23 MPH. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
