Thunderstorms, Damaging Winds In North Jersey Forecast: See Timing
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Bergen County, with potentially severe storms forecast. Track storms with links below.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hazardous Weather Outlook, issued for North Jersey until 8 p.m. Wednesday, calls for gusty thunderstorms and high heat.
"Thunderstorm development is expected this afternoon and evening with a cold frontal passage," the outlook says. "A severe thunderstorm is possible, with damaging winds the main threat."
Temperatures are expected to plummet from the 96 degrees reached on Tuesday to the high 50s on Wednesday night, said the National Weather Service.

The NWS says that for the area, showers are likely between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., with a thunderstorm possible. Winds may gust as high as 23 MPH. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
A high temperature of 93 is expected, with a low around 57 at night.
