UPDATE: Man, Woman Identified In Shooting Deaths In Bergen County
A man and woman were discovered dead from gunshot wounds in a home in New Milford on Saturday, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.
NEW MILFORD, NJ — A man and woman who were found shot to death in a New Milford home on Saturday have been identified.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said on Sunday that Marina Perez, 56, and Giovanni "John" Emmolo, 80, were found on Saturday afternoon during a welfare check.
Prosecutors said they had suffered gunshot wounds "and were later pronounced deceased."

The pair were found inside 250 Myrtle Ave., on a residential street.
"Additional information will be provided as it becomes available, but the shooting appears to be an isolated incident," prosecutors said.

The Prosecutor's Office declined to say whether the pair were related or how they knew each other.
On Saturday, it was reported that officers from the New Milford Police Department entered the home for around 4:15 p.m. and found the pair dead. The Prosecutor's Office withheld the victims' names Saturday pending notification of next of kin.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the New Milford Police Department are investigating.
