Under 14 Ridgewood Baseball Team Wins Section 1 Title: Report

The Ridgewood Raiders Under 14 baseball team won the Section 1 Title recently.

The 14-player team, which only had half of its players return this year, the other half moved onto high school, NorthJersey.com reported.

“This is a strong group of kids. They’re all very athletic and there’s a camaraderie,” coach Marc Favieri told the the website. “They’re all friends and that helps a lot. They jelled very quickly.”

The team beat Bergenfield 13-2 to win the district title and routed Vernon 14-3 for the sectional title.
