Valley Hospital Starts Pediatric Food Allergy Program
Dr. Jacob Kattan of the Elliot and Roslyn Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital will lead the new program.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Valley Hospital, in partnership with Mount Sinai Health System, announced the launch of a new pediatric food allergy program.
According to a news release from the hospital, the program will expand and improve on the patient care, educational efforts and clinical research and treatments in the field of food allergy.
Dr. Jacob Kattan of the Elliot and Roslyn Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York will lead the program, and has opened a satellite clinic at Valley.

His clinical work and research have focused on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of food allergy. He has also worked extensively treating children with environmental allergies, eczema, asthma, and hives.
“I seek to guide families through the difficult process of diagnosing and managing food allergies, as well as other allergic problems,” said Kattan. “Furthermore, I seek to provide hope through education and treatment.”

Kattan will see patients at Valley Hospital's pediatric outpatient facility, located at 140 East Ridgewood Ave. in Paramus, on Mondays and Thursdays.
