BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Violent winds from the biggest snowstorm of the year toppled a Delta gas station roof in Garfield Thursday.
The roof swayed back and forth and dangled over the gas pumps for a while before finally toppling, a video posted by News4 New York on Twitter showed.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene at 786 River Drive at about 2 p.m., Fire Chief Mike Semancik told NorthJersey.com. The roof was damaged by a combination of the storm and old age, Semancik said in the report.
