Winterfest, Chanukah Lighting Scheduled This Weekend In Ridgewood

Winterfest is scheduled for Saturday, while the lighting will take place on Sunday. Here's what to know.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Finish off those leftovers, because it's time for the spirit of the winter holidays in Ridgewood.

The village announced a series of winter events, starting this weekend.

Winterfest is scheduled from 12 to 3 p.m. in Van Neste Square on Saturday, sponsored by the Ridgewood Guild. According to officials, it will include "ice sculptures, a trackless train, complimentary hot chocolate (donated by The Daily Treat), cookies, and candy canes, a horse-drawn hayride, storytelling by a Ridgewood Guild elf, music, and Santa Claus."

Then on Sunday, the village will celebrate Chanukah with a menorah lighting in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
