RIVER EDGE, NJ — The countdown to a new school year is almost over as River Edge students prepare to fill classrooms again Wednesday.
The opening day will be short for children at Cherry Hill and Roosevelt schools, with dismissal scheduled for 12:45 p.m., according to the district's 2026-27 calendar. Teachers and staff will report Tuesday for an in-service day before welcoming students back.
Families will ease into the new routine with a three-day school week. Classes continue Thursday and Friday, but schools will close the following Monday for Labor Day.
Parents can find the calendar and watch for schedule changes on the River Edge School District website. Checking transportation plans, school notices and opening-day instructions could help make that first morning run smoothly.
