Baskin-Robbins Event to Benefit Fallen Firefighters
Stores across the country are offering 31 cent scoops of ice cream with proceeds going to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Ice cream purchased at Baskin-Robbins from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday will be going to a good cause, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
"The NFFF, founded in 1992, honors America’s fallen fire heroes and their families by developing and expanding programs to recognize fallen heroes and assist their families and co-workers," according to a statement released by Baskin-Robbins.
The "Scooping Up Thanks" event honors fallen firefighters on "31 Cent Scoop Night" where 31 cents will get patrons a 2.5 ounce scoop of whatever flavor they choose.

This is the fifth year of this event at participating stores nationwide. This year, Baskin-Robbins has a special flavor of the month to coincide with the event "Firehouse #31" -- "a crunchy atomic fireball ribbon laced throughout with hot cinnamon and packed with red hot candy pieces in cold vanilla ice cream," according to Baskin-Robbins.
“Our fifth annual 31 Cent Scoop Night is going to be a red hot event,” said Brian O’Mara, Baskin Robbins Vice President of Marketing. “This annual tradition provides Baskin-Robbins with an opportunity to thank not only our loyal customers by offering 31 cent ice cream scoops but also a chance to honor our partner, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.”

The company will be donating $100,000 donation to the NFFF.
“We are honored to partner with Baskin-Robbins again for its 31 Cent Scoop Night,” said Chief Ronal Siornacki, NFFF. “Local fire departments throughout the nation enjoy participating in this fun community event. It’s the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of fire prevention which will help decrease the amount of preventable fires.”
