The Book & Needle Woman's Club of Oradell "plants" Pinwheel Garden in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Book & Needle Woman's Club of Oradell joins the Oradell Public Library to observe Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell joins the Oradell Public Library to observe Child Abuse Prevention Month by “planting” a pinwheel garden to increase awareness of the importance of child abuse prevention efforts.  The pinwheel is a symbol that reminds us of childlike notions and stands for the chance at healthy happy and full lives all children deserve.

April is National child Abuse Prevention Month.  This month and throughout the year, The Book & Needle Woman’s Club encourages all individuals and organizations to play a role in making our communities a better place for children and families.  By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to car for their children, we can help promote children’s social and emotional well-being and prevent child maltreatment within families and communities.

Come visit the Pinwheel Garden on the front lawn of the Oradell Public Library at the corner of Kinderkamack Road and Church Street in Oradell NJ.  Pick up a bookmark “Ten ways to Prevent Child Abuse” and color your very own pinwheel.  Hel us raise awareness.
