Volunteers Needed For Saint Anastasia’s Walk-in Dinner Program
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, St. Anastasia’s will be providing the dinner meal for the Family Promise Walk in Dinner Program at the Bergen County Health and Human Services Shelter in Hackensack, NJ.
We need volunteers for the following:
- Volunteers for Kitchen/Meal Preparation at the Redmond Center: 4-6 Volunteers (10:30am – 2:00pm). We need to prepare food for 175+ meals (menu includes protein, starch, vegetable and salad). The food is prepared in the Redmond Center kitchen and then we transport to the Shelter by 3pm.
- Volunteer at the Hackensack Shelter, 3pm-6pm If you would like to Volunteer to serve the food at the Hackensack Shelter from 3pm-6pm, please contact Lisa Rehm, lmr1023fp@gmail.com, 201-328-6721 no later than June 17th. We are allowed to have up to 4 volunteers serve at the shelter. You will need to wear a head cover/hat (i.e. baseball cap) and the shelter provides work gloves.
DONATIONS: In addition to the prepared meal, we also need to provide the
following items. If you can donate any of the following, please contact Lisa Rehm. The items can be dropped off ONLY at the Redmond Center on
Saturday, June 27th, from 10:30 am-1:30 pm.
- 175 Desserts – individually wrapped (ex. Individual packs of cookies,
brownies)
- 175 Dinner Rolls (ex. package of Hawaiian king dinner rolls)
