The Filipino community of St. Mary’s will be having a social event at Szelest Hall on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 6:30-10:00 pm, to celebrate the feast of the first Filipino saints, Sts. Lorenzo Ruiz and Pedro Calungsod. All Filipino parishioners of St. Mary’s, and their families, are invited to a night of fun activities, meet-and-greet, fellowship and friendship. Dinner will be provided.

Veteran's Memorial Park

An Exciting Shopping Event awaits you at the Craft Show &amp; Antique &amp; Gift Corner, on Sunday, August 23, from 10 to 5 in beautiful Veterans Park, located on Broadway in Westwood. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit 125 exhibitors featuring arts and crafts, as well as an antique and gift corner. The art and craft section will showcase booths presenting pottery, floral arrangements, fall home decor, hand-crafted jewelry, apparel, fiber goods, prints, woodworking items, stained glass, garden items, resin and train station prints, artwork, photography, chain saw animals, as well as specialized items for pets and children, crochet animals, mixed media creations, soft sculpture and a variety of other artisan goods. 
At the antique corner treasures can be found at the booths filled with antique &amp; costume jewelry, pottery, prints, linens, silver, porcelain, ephemera, bric a brac, vintage toys, and more. For antique or collectible appraisals, consult appraiser Jon Felz, a respected expert in the field. The cost Is $5.00 an item. The gift corner features Italian woman’s clothing, jewelry, home décor, children’s items, scarves, handbags, soaps, apparel and so much more. 
For the foodie’s, festival foods, Italian ice, homemade pretzels, pickles &amp; desserts will be available. You do not want to miss this fun shopping event at this picturesque park. The show is sponsored by Westwood Heritage Society and organized by P.J.'s Promotions. It is held rain or shine. Free admission. Historic New Bridge Landing

Visit Bergen County’s premier historic site this summer: Historic New Bridge Landing! The Bergen County Historical Society will be having its annual Summertime Social on Sunday, August 23rd 1 pm- 4:30 pm.
Staffed by knowledgeable BCHS interpreters, all 3 Jersey- Dutch sandstone houses including the state historic 1752 Steuben House will be open for tours throughout the day. 
On display for viewing in the Steuben House will be new exhibits and Revolutionary War artifacts from their extensive collection.
Join Ben Franklin portrayed by Jack Sherry at 2 pm on the front porch of the Steuben House as he talks about his time as America’s first diplomat.
Stop by the Westervelt-Thomas Barn to see a broom making demonstration.
Check out The Blackhorse Inn located in the Campbell-Christie House where light summer refreshments will be available. 
Do not forget to visit the society’s authentic Jersey Dutch out-kitchen where BCHS interpreters will be displaying and discussing well known 18th century drinks like cider, cherry bounce and ginger beer. Visitors will also have a chance to make 18th century sachet bundles with dried herbs and/or spices to take home.
Kite decorating and flying for families will be on site as well, weather permitting.
Ticket reservations are encouraged: $12 adults, $7 students, BCHS members free. 
Free parking available on site or take the train to the “New Bridge Landing” station on the Pascack Valley Line. 
Dogs are permitted on site on a leash but not in the houses.
