The Adelphi Chamber Orchestra is taking applications for its Young Artists Competition.
The Young Artist Competition is a new annual competition for musicians up to age 21. The contest attracts residents of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania who compete in a friendly environment. A winner will be awarded a solo appearances with the Adelphi in our Aspiring Young Artist Showcase Concert on March 11, 2012. All other winners will be showcased in a winners recital.
Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe
Ages: up to Age 21
Applicants: Limited to New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania Junior Division: up to age 14 (birthdate on or after 1/1/97)
Senior Division: up to age 21 (birthdate on or after 1/1/90)
First Prize: Solo Performance with the ACO on March 11, 2011 at the Aspiring Young Artist Showcase Concert and Savings Bond.
