
Auditions for Bergen County Players' upcoming production of the children’s show RAPUNZEL will be held on Aug. 13th & 14th at 7:30 pm with callbacks on Thurs. Aug. 16th at 7:30 pm. at:

Please prepare 32 bars of an upbeat song, preferably one from a Broadway or off-Broadway show. Be sure that you bring the correct sheet music so that the musical director can play it. No A cappella.Be prepared to do a simple dance routine so dress accordingly and wear or have with you the proper shoes.
The show runs from Nov. 23rd through Dec. 16th with performances every Fri. night at 8 p m and every Sat. and Sun. with two shows: one at 1 and one at 3:30.
Scripts will be available after the July 11th meeting and upon request they will be at the theater. There is a 4 day loan period, then the scripts must be returned!! They most definitely can be returned sooner. They are full scripts with the music.
The cast:
RAPUNZEL: attractive - 18 to 20- a soprano
THE WITCH: Needs to be in her late 30’s to early 40’s. –A belter ( don’t think “typical witch”)
PRINCE BRIAN: attractive - slightly older then Rapunzel – a tenor or a baritone
STORY TELLER: [can be played by either a man -tenor or a woman -alto] Any Age ( I am splitting the roles of the Story Teller and Simon the valet, who in the script are played by the same actor)
SIMON: [the valet to Prince Brian] - should be the same age or slightly older then the Witch—tenor
COBBLER’S WIFE/THE WIGMAKER: played by the same actress – alto - aged between late 30’s to mid 40’s.
COBBLER/INNKEEPER/MAN WITH MOP: all played by the same actor –slightly older then Mrs. Cobbler – any vocal type
KING/CASTLE GUARD: both parts played by the same actor - baritone - between late 40’s to 50’s
