Bergen County’s Overpeck Park will host 77 WABC and 95.5 WPLJ for this year’s Bark in the Park on Saturday, July 14th from 11am – 3pm. The event features everything a canine and their family could want. There will be music, food and fun for everyone, including our four legged friends, with dog contests, pet exhibits, demonstrations, and giveaways.
This event will be hosted by Mark Levin with special guests Geraldo Rivera, Bill Evans and Mark Simone.
The North Shore Animal League America and the Bergen County Animal Shelter will be in attendance to help raise awareness about animals in need and distribute information about pet adoption, volunteering and other ways you can help mankind’s best friend. Both agencies will have air conditioned viewing trailers filled with wonderful dogs available for adoption. Who knows? You may find a new member of the family to take home.

A special feature for this year’s event is the sale of “Dogs Get Cancer Too” a children’s book for kids with cancer and anyone who loves a heartwarming story. For every copy of the book sold, two will be donated to local hospitals. Author, Ann Sheridan, adopted her beloved dog Bimbo from the Bergen County Animal Shelter and wrote this funny and inspirational book after they both battled cancer. Ms. Sheridan will be on hand to sign her book and talk about Bimbo’s Buddies®, an organization that offers hope and courage to all pediatric cancer patients by providing free copies of “Dogs Get Cancer Too.”
