The book chosen for the next session on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 (a fifth Tuesday)
is Ernest Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms (1929), a semi-autobiographical novel
concerning events in the Italian campaigns during the First World War.  The
narrative is a first-person account of American Frederic Henry, serving as a
Lieutenant in the ambulance corps of the Italian Army.
