Grace Lutheran Church presents the silent movie classic "Wings" with live organ accompaniment. Wings, the story of two aviators who head to WWI and the girl they both leave behind, was the winner of the first (1927/1928) Academy Award for Best Picture. Wings stars Clara Bow and features some amazing aerial photography. The film provided Gary Cooper, in a cameo, with his first on-screen appearance.
John Baratta, Grace Lutheran's Music Director, on the Church's full pipe organ will perform live the film's musical score. The combined film screening and live organ accompaniment replicates the film's original theater experience and is not to be missed.
Following the film, pizza and refreshments will be provided.
