Teaneck VFW 1429 to Host Spring Carnival at Overpeck Park to Benefit Families of Deployed Soldiers
Join Teaneck VFW Post 1429 for a day of family fun with the proceeds going to help the families of soldiers being deployed.
The Teaneck Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) 1429 is sponsoring a Spring Carnival at Overpeck Park, in Ridgefield Park, from Thursday, April 19 to Sunday, April 22 to raise support for the Family Readiness Group (FRG) associated with the soldiers stationed at the Teaneck Armory National Guard.
“The Guard will be deployed again overseas very soon and need our help,” Commander Lenny Hennig, of VFW Post 1429. “We need to raise money to support the families that are left behind and help send care packages overseas.”

Hennig explained “when the soldiers are deployed the families make less money than if they were working at their regular jobs.”
Come out and enjoy a day of games, slides, Ferris wheels, rides for thrill seekers, rides for the kids and other attractions from Blue Sky Amusements and Entertainment.
