
And they’re off! One of the area’s most beloved and anticipated events is scheduled for Saturday, May 5th at Apple Ridge Country Club at 269 East Crescent Avenue in Mahwah.
The Volunteer Center of Bergen County’s 20th annual Derby Day party promises a winning combination of savory southern food, authentic mint juleps, wine tasting, great live music from The Stuff Brothers, and of course, the viewing of the Kentucky Derby!
The party runs from 3:30 to 7:00 pm and features a silent and live auction in which guests can bid on unique items such as fantastic experiences, gift certificates, vacations, tickets to events and more.

Guests have the opportunity to preview some of the auction items, which are on display online at the Derby Day webpage. Guests can also view photos from last year’s Derby Day as well as purchase their tickets, which are $100 per person and available online now or can be reserved by phone at 201-489-9454.
Guests are encouraged to dress in festive, casual-elegant attire. In the spirit of the Kentucky Derby, awards will be given for the “Most Elegant Hat” for the ladies and “Most Outrageous Tie” for the gentlemen.
