Local Rockers Compete in Battle of Bands

The Paramus-based Jersey State Entertainment Battle of the Bands semi-final round will feature a performance tonight by RiverDell rockers The Ride Down. The group takes the state at 5:50pm to compete for the right to move on to the final round.

The group, comprised of Ben Lifson (vocals/bass), Matt Cedzidlo (lead guitar) Kyle Levinsohn (drums) and Phil McGarry (guitar) released a six-song EP last fall.

The two-day semifinals will feature 16 bands and only eight will earn the right to move on to the finals and potentially receive the $2,000 grand prize and bragging rights as this year's winner.

Doors open at 5pm and tickets are $10 per person. The Paramus VFW is located at 6 Winslow Place, Paramus.
