The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell sponsored The Summer Reading Kick-Off Program at the Oradell Library on June 22, in memory of the children’s librarian, Debby Kyritz. Brian Richards opened up this years “On Your Mark, Get Set. READ” program by mesmerizing a group of over 50 children and parents with his magic.

Kyritz grew up in Oradell, attended River Dell High School, and later studied at Lehigh University where she received her bachelor’s degree and the University of Southern Connecticut, where she received a master’s degree in library science. She started at Oradell Public Library, first as the Young Adult Librarian and then as the Youth Services Coordinator, "Miss Debby", as she was affectionately known, spent many years touching the lives of hundreds of children and library patrons.
