Revolutionary War Walking Tour Planned For July 4 In River Edge: What To Know
The tour will give residents the opportunity to walk the grounds of one of the Revolutionary War's most important sites.
RIVER EDGE, NJ — The Bergen County Historical Society (BCHS) will host an Independence Day walking tour of Historic New Bridge Landing.
The "Meet Me in the Meadow" Walking Tour at 1208 Main Street will run from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and give residents the opportunity to walk the grounds of one of the Revolutionary War's most important sites.
The site played is known for its role during George Washington's retreat across New Jersey in 1776.

Deborah Powell, Historic New Bridge Landing State Park Commission member, will lead the walk and share stories of the historical site. The tour will end at the 1752 Steuben House,
Guests will be able to enjoy complimentary drinks and cookies.
