River Edge Republicans File Two For Borough Council The River Edge Republican Committee on Friday filed two candidates for borough council for the November Election.  Ms. Daisy Ortiz-Berger of Van Saun Drive River Edge and Mr. Ian Doris Esq. of Kinderkamack Rd. River Edge.  Ms. Ortiz-Berger is a Bronx native, She began her career at J.P. Morgan & Company on the foreign exchange trading desk on Wall Street and prior to joining Citibank as the Director of Affiliate Credit Card Marketing, she was a Divisional Marketing Executive at Bank of America.  Daisy is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Ford Motor Company and has been able to apply quality methods across various marketing roles. 

Ms. Ortiz-Berger was the co-founder and President of the Detroit Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and also held several national board positions, including Vice Chairperson and Marketing and Public Relations Chair.   Because of her community service and activism, she received the Alumni Achievement Award in 2013 from Lehman College, CUNY and has been featured as one of Minority MBA Magazine's "Next Generation of Minority Business Leaders, " Emerging Markets’ Future Leaders and in Who's Who in International Business.   

Ms. Ortiz-Berger received her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and her undergraduate degree with honors from Herbert H. Lehman College, City University of New York.   She has been a resident of River Edge since 2009  with her Husband Robert, son, Maxon Lucas and daughter, Mikaylee Joy.   

Mr. Ian Doris has lived in River Edge for 16 years and is the proud father of two children who attend Cherry Hill School.  After obtaining his B.A. degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey, he went on to complete his law degree at Rutgers University School of Law, Newark. Currently Ian is a partner in the law firm of Keenan & Doris and is Certified by the N.J. Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. Prior to starting his own law firm Ian served as an Assistant Bergen County Counsel for 7 years The Republican committee is extremely proud to continue to bring highly trained professions to the ballot.  We look forward to getting this years candidates elected to help move the Borough of River Edge forward with current councilmen Ed Mignone and Anthony Cappola.
