Rockers Have Shot at $2,000 in Battle of the Bands

After competing in the Paramus-based Jersey State Entertainment  last month, RiverDell rockers The Ride Down have a shot tomorrow at $2,000 in the finals round.

The group, comprised of Ben Lifson (vocals/bass), Matt Cedzidlo (lead guitar) Kyle Levinsohn (drums) and Phil McGarry (guitar) released a six-song EP last fall.

Also competing are: Viking Viking Viking, Yes Virginia, Valhalla, Fairchild Down, Sexy Heroes, Last Minet, Shout Out The Crowd and Survay Says!.

The first-place winner will take home $2,000; second please earns $500; and third place gets $250.

The three-hour long finals will be held at the Maywood Senior Center, 145 West Magnolia Avenue, Maywood from 4 to 7pm on August 20. The Ride Down will perform from 8:20 to 8:45pm.
