River Edge School Named A 2017 National Blue Ribbon School
St. Peter Academy has been named one of 2017's National Blue Ribbon Schools.

RIVER EDGE, NJ — The U.S. Department of Education has named St. Peter Academy, a nonpublic school, as one of the 2017 National Blue Ribbon Schools.
St. Peter Academy is one of just two Bergen County schools to receive the honor this year. Berkeley Avenue Elementary School in Westwood is the other.
Only 17 New Jersey schools were named as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2017. For the full list click here.

St. Peter Academy is part of the Archdiocese of Newark District.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes outstanding schools including: public schools including charter schools, magnet/choice schools, Title I schools and non-public schools including parochial and independent schools.

Using standards of excellence evidenced by student achievement measures the USDOE honors high-performing schools and schools that are making great strides in closing any achievement gaps among student groups.
Awarded schools will be honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., where each receives a plaque and flag to signify its exemplary status.
