Why Not Head Outside to the Parks in Oradell
The borough has a variety of parks for residents to use during warmer weather
Oradell has pleasant green spaces for residents to enjoy. A few golf courses are partially in Oradell, and there are 4 parks in this borough. Residents can select Memorial Park, the Doug Parcells Athletic Complex, Grant Park, or Hoffman Park when they want to relax on a weekend afternoon.
Memorial Park is across the street from the Oradell Public Elementary School. It is bordered by Oradell Avenue, Prospect Avenue, and Park Avenue. A stone memorial there commemorates military personnel from Oradell who died in World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War. A playground built by the Oradell Kids Foundation is in the middle of Memorial Park. A field house is near the playground. Baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and a soccer field provide athletic residents with options. The west end of the park has woods and marshes.
The parking lot to the Doug Parcells Athletic Complex, also known as Ridgewood Fields, is at the intersection of Clark Road and Ridgewood Avenue. This facility contains the Elizabeth Hagler Children's playground, a field house, a multipurpose athletic field, and woodlands. The athletic field has synthetic turf that can accommodate baseball, soccer, football, and lacrosse. Paths through the woods take residents to pedestrian entrances.
