86-Year-Old Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Boy, 13: Prosecutor
Albert DeCresci, formerly of Rumson, is being held at Monmouth County Jail on $250,000 cash bail, the Monmouth County Prosecutor says.

A former Rumson man is being held in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail after he was charged with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.
The arrest came after a joint investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Tinton Falls police department.
Albert DeCresci, 86, formerly of Rumson, was found ”in the act” of the assault and was charged with one count of second degree sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, Gramiccioni said.

Monmouth County Superior County Judge Honora O’Brien Kilgallen, also ordered that Cresci have no contact with his victim and not return to the scene of the crime if he is released. DeCresci was a resident of Tinton Falls at the time of the incident, he said.

If convicted of sexual assault, DeCresci faces a sentence of 10 years in a New Jersey state prison without parole if convicted of sexual assault and community supervision for life after release from prison. He also faces three to five years in state prison if convicted of endangering the welfare of a child, Gramiccioni said.
