RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Rumson and Fair Haven residents will hit the polls this fall to vote in their local elections, but before that, the primary election will take place in June.
In the primary race, Democratic and Republican candidates compete for their party’s nomination, and the winners face off again in the general election on Nov. 3, which will also include third-party and independent candidates.
In-person voting for the primary election will take place on Tuesday, June 2, while early in-person voting will run from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, May 31.
The candidates set to run in the Rumson, Fair Haven and Monmouth County primary elections are as follows, according to the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office:

Fair Haven Borough Mayor
Fair Haven Borough Council
Monmouth County Surrogate
Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners
